Legal Cyber Academy teaches the intersection of law and technology — eDiscovery, digital forensics, privacy, cybersecurity law, blockchain and dispute resolution. 124 courses, taught by 159 practitioners including retired federal judges, a former Acting General Counsel of the Federal Trade Commission, a former National Cyber Director, a former federal Chief Information Officer, and chief information security officers from banking, healthcare and technology.
How it works
- Sign up with your work address. Court (
.gov,.uscourts.gov, state judiciary), government, military, or academic (.edu). - Access is granted automatically. There is no application, no approval step and no one reviewing who you are. The system reads the domain and issues it.
- The full catalogue, free, for 6 months from the day you join. Every course, every assessment, every certificate.
Open to new sign-ups through March 31, 2027. There is no cap on the number of institutions or people who can take part.
Nobody pays to appear here
No vendor, sponsor or advertiser has ever paid to appear on this platform, to shape a course, or to select a panellist. There is no sponsored content on this site and no paid placement of any kind.
That is worth stating plainly, because it is not the norm in legal education. Elsewhere in this market a vendor can buy the right to produce an accredited session and supply its own speakers, and at least one such programme states in its own rate card that the content may be a product demonstration and that no attorney is required on the panel. Nothing on this site works that way. Our faculty are here because they were asked, not because anyone bought the slot.
Why we do this
The questions this material covers — what a legal hold has to reach, when a forensic report survives challenge, whether an incident response report stays privileged, how a discovery special master actually works — arrive in chambers and in agency offices whether or not anyone has had the chance to study them. The marginal cost of giving that away is nothing; the courses are already recorded.
Access is issued by domain, on identical terms, to everyone who qualifies. It carries no obligation and nothing is asked in return.

Legal Cyber Academy is not an accredited continuing-education provider, and its courses are not pre-approved for CLE, CE, CME, or CPE credit. Each course provides a graded assessment, a verifiable Certificate of Completion, and a Continuing Education Information Sheet documenting instructional time, learning objectives, faculty, and a timed agenda — the records most licensing bodies require when a learner applies for self-submitted or self-study credit. Whether credit is granted, and how much, is determined solely by your licensing board. Confirm your board's rules before claiming credit.
