Panelists give an overview of cybersecurity and the current threats law firms face, review relevant guidance and regulations, discuss recent data breaches affecting law firms, and introduce cyber risk assessments and tabletops. They conclude with additional strategies for cyber risk mitigation.

Curriculum

1. 1. Current State of Cyber Threats Facing Law Firms: Should You Do A Tabletop? 

   In this seminar, our expert panelists begin by giving an overview of cybersecurity, the current cyber threats that law firms face, and what information is being targeted. Next, our speakers discuss some of the relevant guidance and regulations on cybersecurity. Our panelists then discuss recent data breaches that have affected law firms, how they happened, and what we can learn from them. Following this discussion of the risks, our speakers introduce cyber risk assessments and tabletops, highlighting how they work and their key features. Our speakers conclude by discussing additional strategies of cyber risk mitigation for attorneys to consider in protecting their practice.
