Daniel Dobrygowski is Senior Counsel for Cybersecurity at Sophos, where he leads the global cybersecurity legal function and advises on cybersecurity and AI risk and regulation. He has also been an adjunct associate professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs since 2022. From 2015 to 2026 he was at the World Economic Forum, latterly as Head of Governance and Trust, where he co-founded the Centre for Cybersecurity and was lead author of reports including Principles for Board Governance of Cyber Risk. He practised previously at WilmerHale and Jones Day, and holds a J.D. from Berkeley Law, an M.P.A. from the Harvard Kennedy School and a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University. At Legal Cyber Academy he teaches on AI regulatory efforts in the U.S. and the E.U.
