J-Michael Roberts is a digital forensic examiner and expert witness, principal consultant at Corvus Forensics in Brooklyn, New York, and a senior director at Law & Forensics, where he heads the firm's New York office. His work covers digital forensics, incident response, malware reverse engineering, and digital asset and cryptocurrency analysis, including data breach investigations spanning multiple servers. He was previously a vice president at Stroz Friedberg's New York office, where he directly supervised staff assigned to the incident response practice, and he created and continues to maintain VirusShare, a widely used malware repository. He has testified as an expert in U.S. District Court, in state court and in international arbitration, including in USA v. Klyushin, and holds the GIAC Reverse-Engineering Malware and Certified Computer Examiner credentials. At Legal Cyber Academy he teaches on digital forensics for lawyers.
