About

Steven Chabinsky is the founder of Cyversant LLC, a cybersecurity risk management firm whose engagements are interactive sessions tailored for boards, C-suites and workforces. He has spent more than twenty years in the cybersecurity field, most recently as global chair of the data privacy and cybersecurity practice at the international law firm White & Case LLP. He served by presidential appointment as a commissioner on the Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity, and was the first general counsel and chief risk officer at CrowdStrike. Earlier he served for over 15 years with the FBI, including as deputy of its Cyber Division, and has received numerous awards including the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal. He has testified before the United States House and Senate on multiple occasions and developed and taught a graduate-level course on cybersecurity law and policy at George Washington University. At Legal Cyber Academy, Steven Chabinsky teaches on cybersecurity executive orders and national cyber strategy.
