What Lawyers Must Know About Technology to Avoid Losing Clients or Their LicenseLesson notes
One can say that the original motivation behind the development of patent law was to "promote the progress of science and useful arts." However, it is evident that patent law has since advanced. Overtime, patent inventions played a significant role in society, but patent law has brought its own set of issues despite this growth. Time and the continued growth of new inventions have shown the patent process is not easy. As such, attorneys should have a robust understanding of patent law and the changing legal landscape surrounding hardware and software patents to provide their clients with the best services. During this lesson, speakers will discuss the basics of patents, software computing issues that arise during litigation, and the relationship between infringement and copyright.
