Strengths
- Teaches the part of the job forensic training ignores entirely: surviving a deposition and writing a report that holds up.
- Directly relevant to the amended Rule 702 standard, where the weakness is usually the expert's explanation rather than their analysis.
- Multiple formats, including on demand.
- Long-running, with an established conference and a track record.
Limitations
- It is not certification or licensure, and any expert who presents SEAK training as a credential is overstating it. There is no recognised licensure for expert witnesses in the United States.
- Prices are not published.
- Nothing in it teaches forensic method — it teaches how to present and defend work you already did competently.
- Some of the offering is practice-building and marketing, which is a different thing from testimony skill.
