About
Kristen Mathews is a partner in Cooley's global cyber/data/privacy group and litigation department in New York. Her work covers the treatment of personal and experiential information about individuals, cybersecurity preparedness and data breach incident response, and compliance with data privacy laws at the state, federal and international levels, as well as artificial intelligence, brain tech and the ethical ramifications of the use of AI. She joined Cooley in September 2024 from Morrison & Foerster. Chambers USA has ranked her since 2010 and The Legal 500 US inducted her into its Hall of Fame in the Cyber Law category. At Legal Cyber Academy she teaches on the regulatory status of artificial intelligence and its impact on the practice of law.
