Michael Phillips is Head of Global Cyber Portfolio Underwriting at Coalition, where he oversees the company's global underwriting strategy, product development and portfolio performance. He was previously Cyber Practice Leader for the USA at CFC, and before that Chief Claims Officer at Resilience, Head of Cyber, Media and Technology Claims for the North American market at Allianz Global and Tech Counsel at Beazley, following eight years as a commercial litigator in private practice. He is Co-Chair of the Ransomware Task Force convened by the Institute for Security and Technology. He holds a B.A. with honors in politics from New York University, an M.A. with distinction in international relations from King's College London and a J.D. from Emory University School of Law. At Legal Cyber Academy he teaches on cyber insurance for attorneys and their clients.
