Shelli J. Clarkston is Of Counsel at Spencer Fane LLP in Kansas City, advising financial services, fintech and technology clients on regulatory compliance, corporate governance and strategic transactions. Her work covers financial institution licensing, lending and payments regulation and consumer protection law, including the Bank Holding Company Act and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, alongside privacy and cybersecurity compliance under GDPR and the CCPA. She holds a J.D. and an LL.M. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, an M.A. from Doane University and a B.S. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and is admitted in Kansas and Missouri. At Legal Cyber Academy she teaches on the California Consumer Privacy Act and its year in review.
