The Digital Verdict: Mastering Smartphone Evidence in the Courtroom
Our course on mobile evidence in litigation — what an extraction produces, what it omits, and how smartphone evidence is authenticated and attacked at trial.
Offered by Legal Cyber Academy
Disclosure
This is one of our own courses, and we are paid when someone buys it. It is listed here on the same terms as everything else in this directory — with its real limitations stated below — because a directory that hid its publisher’s own offerings among neutral recommendations would not be worth reading. Several entries on this page cost less than ours, and some cost nothing.

- Accreditation
- None. We are not an accredited continuing-education provider and no CLE pre-approval is claimed.
- Who it suits
- A litigator dealing with text messages, app data or location evidence who needs to know what the extraction report does and does not establish.
- Audience
- Lawyers & in-house counsel
Strengths
- Mobile evidence is now in almost every matter, and the courtroom-facing treatment of it is genuinely underserved.
- Focused on authentication and challenge, which is where mobile evidence is actually won and lost.
- $19.99 with lifetime access.
Limitations
- No tool work whatsoever. It will not teach you to run a Cellebrite or Magnet extraction, and mobile forensics is a tooling-heavy discipline.
- Mobile extraction capability changes with every handset and OS release, so any video course on this subject dates faster than most.
- No accreditation and no guaranteed CLE credit.
- An examiner who needs to perform mobile extractions should be looking at IACIS ICMDE or the Cellebrite and Magnet entries in this directory instead.
